Bear Republic Cafe Racer 15!

 In Drinks

This day, August 1st, 2013 marks a fun day in King’s Row Gastropub history. First of all, This is the second time I’m writing this blog because the internet server crashed at around 6pm PST. Secondly, WE GOT TO TAP IN CAFE RACER 15. This is our GM, James Willis’ favorite DIPA. He was first introduced to it while bar tending at Tony’s Darts Away in burbank (a FINE establishment for the beer lover to frequent – go see Sandra while you’re there – she’s the best!!!).

Here’s what the bro’s have to say about the beer:

“Caf? Racer 15? features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone…”

“Cafe Racer 15 is hands down my favorite DIPA that I’ve ever tried,” says our GM James Willis, Certified Cicerone and professional beer buyer. He went on to say, “I think that if you put Cafe Racer 15 toe to toe with Russian River’s Pliny the Elder in a blind tasting, that the Racer 15 will win hands down, every time.” SO, if you feel so inclined, ya’ll should mosey on down to Lucky Baldwins where you are sure to find some Pliny the Elder and try a tulip of the stuff. Then make your way back over to King’s Row and have the same of the Cafe Racer 15. See for yourself the difference! Email us at [email protected] with your findings! We’d love to hear about it.
